Life at Foundation House at Bothell can be more enjoyable—and busy—than you could imagine. A striking landscape and beautifully designed community, planned events, activities, delicious meals, and well planned apartment homes are all part of what is waiting for you. Fine Dining Options

Our dining room is open, airy, and intimate yet comfortable. Foundation House’s Executive Chef loves to create fresh and flavorful meals with variety and nutrition and always your health in mind. You’ll look forward to dinner with friends each and every evening.

Our culinary professionals prepare over 100,000 meals annually and savor the opportunity to create your favorites. Theme dinners are offered throughout the year to celebrate special events such as Cinco De Mayo, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving, and the entire holiday season plus special luaus and so much more. For fun and education, our Chef hosts demonstration classes and since we appreciate and value our residents input the Chef offers a "foodie" discussion each week

We realize that not everyone wants to dine at exactly the same time – we all have our personal schedules that we’ve had all our lives. Here you can start your day off right no matter what time that may be for you. Our informal and friendly Bistro provides complimentary pastries, snacks, and coffee as well as fresh fruit for residents and guests, so you’re never kept waiting.

For even more dining variety, from April to August we are able to feature patio dining, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Washington weather and appreciate the view of plant life, trees, sky lines, wetlands, and natural surroundings as they dine.

Every Sunday residents and their guest enjoy an amazing brunch. A waffle station, omelets to order, a soup bar, meat carving station and over thirty other tantalizing entrées, sides, and desserts grace an artfully arranged table!

A private dining room is available for the celebration of special occasions with close friends and family. Catering is always available, compliments of our Executive Chef.

Activities

Your health and wellness are important to us so we include yoga taught by a certified personal trainer, sit-and-be-fit exercises available, professional gym and cardio equipment, and other programs to help you keep physically fit.

Our salon and barber shop is available for all of your personal grooming and pampering needs.

Games are a popular pastime and our designated rooms host pinochle tournaments, bridge, poker, bingo, billiards, chess and checkers as well as personalized computer instruction and Nintendo Wii. Family, friends, and grandchildren are welcome to come anytime and join the fun!

Residents with green thumbs can go outdoors to our raised garden area during the gardening season and plant their favorite vegetables and flowers.

Our library, computer, and business center keeps residents connected to the world while exercising the mind through learning about current events, stories, and information. Whether it be for news, interactive games, email, or sharing family photos, world wide web access is available anytime. Take advantage of our talent and knowledge through one-on-one instruction time to learn and broaden your internet experience.

Creative hearts and minds exercise their talents in our art studio! You will find many of our resident artists there painting and sharing their talents by teaching classes to other residents. Whether you’re an avid painter or have never picked up a brush, all are welcome!

Apartment Homes

Foundation House at Bothell offers thirty-four different floor plans of apartment homes to fit your lifestyle and personal living needs. They are available in one- and two-bedroom apartment homes that range in size from 600 to 1,190 square-feet. All apartment homes include a kitchen, walk-in closet, and spacious living area. Utilities (except telephone) are included in the rental rate. Some of our special features that come with each apartment and are included in the monthly rental fee:

Social

Foundation House at Bothell hosts numerous dances, tournaments, gatherings, outings, and parties throughout the year. While some events celebrate the season or the holiday, others simply celebrate Saturday. Start the year off on the right foot with dance lessons to refine your fancy foot work. Then be sure to RSVP to a New Year Celebration and dance you’ll never forget. Join your friends and kick up your heels again and again throughout the year. Celebrate the seasons with annual holiday celebrations. Join in on the fun at Oktoberfest or grab a cup of spiced cider and enjoy the fall air with friends. The fire is always roaring on those cold winter days and when the sun is shining at the peak of summer find a cool refreshment in the bistro.

Foundation House at Bothell boasts two monthly calendars, one packed full of activities seven days a week and the other for special events. Interactive presentations with guests from around the globe speak on topics from nuclear energy, wine, politics, and education to intergenerational activities and Lavender Fields. Seminars are held throughout the year to keep our residents and their families abreast on changes to systems and programs that concern them most. You’ll hear from professionals on topics such as Medicare, home health care, long-term care, and senior tax law.

Not only do we bring the fun to you but we also know it’s nice to get out now and again. Bring your binoculars, cameras, and maybe even a few rolls of quarters because Foundation House at Bothell provides weekly outings with day trips to places such as area Casinos, Deception Pass, Leavenworth, Ballard Locks, La Connor, Mt. Rainer, Costco, YMCA, Northshore Performing Arts Center, Wild Animal Park, and a picnics. Scheduled transportation includes service to area doctors, rehabilitation clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, groceries, and shopping centers.

A round-the-clock concierge is available to make reservations and arrange for other desired services and your transportation needs. Certain services are available at a nominal charge. If you don’t see is listed, simply ask and we’re happy to make any arrangements you may need.

Surrounding Area

Downtown Bothell is within walking distance of Foundation House at Bothell. Restaurants, shopping, cultural and entertainment venues are close at hand. Nearby Wayne Golf Course has beautiful scenery with wide open fairways and small greens with a river flowing through the course. Northshore Senior Center is next door and within easy walking distance or catch a quick ride in our community golf cart, available during business hours.

The beautiful Park at Bothell Landing is just minutes away and is a focal point for many community events. Situated along the Sammamish River, the Park provides a stopping off point for bicyclists and walkers using the adjacent Sammamish River Trail.
